Request account deletion
Email our support team to start a deletion request for your Word Scrapes account.
Email a deletion requestThis opens your email app. Send the email to submit your request. If you use webmail, write to support@thingspeople.love with the subject "Word Scrapes account deletion request."
Deletion is permanent. You may lose access to progress, unused currency, items, and content associated with the deleted account. Ask about a data export before deletion is completed if you would like a copy.
What to include
- Say you want to delete your Word Scrapes account and associated data.
- Tell us whether you sign in with Apple or Google and, if known, the email address associated with your game account.
If you use Apple's Hide My Email, your game account may use a private relay address. If you do not know it or cannot access your original email, tell us so we can help identify the account safely.
Do not send passwords, sign-in codes, full payment details, or identity documents with your request.
What happens next
- We review your request. We may ask for additional information to verify account ownership before deleting anything.
- We explain the next steps and timing. We will tell you the expected completion time and explain any delay or information that must be retained.
- We confirm completion. Sending an email or an in-game request does not instantly delete your account. You will receive confirmation when the request has been completed.
For an update, reply to your request email. You can also request deletion in the game through Settings → Request Account Deletion.
Your account and game data
A completed account deletion removes your game account and associated profile, cloud-saved progress, account-linked settings, currency and inventory balances, and game-access records, subject to the limited retention exceptions below. Associated account data held by service providers is included in the deletion process.
Information that may be retained
Limited purchase or transaction records, security and fraud-prevention records, and records of your privacy request may need to be retained for legal obligations, disputes, or preventing duplicate purchase claims. These exceptions do not mean keeping your entire game profile.
We will explain any applicable retained information and its retention period when handling your request, including relevant backup-expiry limitations. See our Privacy Policy for more information about retention.
Subscriptions and store purchases
Deleting your game account does not automatically cancel an Apple or Google Play subscription. To stop future renewal charges, cancel through the store where you subscribed. You can submit a deletion request without waiting for a subscription to expire.
Account deletion does not itself issue a refund or delete billing records held independently by Apple or Google. Your Apple or Google account is not deleted.
Guest play and device copies
If you have never signed in, you may have only a guest save on your device rather than a cloud game account. Uninstalling the game does not submit an account-deletion request or cancel a subscription.
Copies you saved yourself, such as exported files, are not removed by cloud-account deletion. Contact support@thingspeople.love if you need help identifying or removing local game data.
